Danielle was 24 when a wreckless drug fueled alcoholic named Brooke Diane Hames rammed the side of the van she was sitting, in an attempt to flee Eureka police department, on the night her husband turned 26, April 30, 2012. Her 13 month old Daughter, Annabelle was sitting beside her. Annabelle suffered minor bruises. Danielle suffered massive head and abdominal trauma. She was DOA when fire and rescue crews arrived almost immediately following the collision. Their quick response was the deciding factor in her husband, Bob's survival. He suffered a broken femur, ruptured diaphragm, and a crushed pelvis that could've been considered innopperable. He was transported by plane to St. Joseph hospital in Santa Rosa where he underwent more than 20 hours of surgery and recieved 8 liters of donor blood. Bob went home twenty days after being admitted. Danielle had been cremated on the 14th. Their daughter, Was 2600 miles away with her grandmother for the next 8 months, while Bob learned to walk again.Annabelle and Bob are doing well, despite financial dificulties as Ms Hames was uninsured, and broke. Her insurance had been revoked due to a DUI arrest weeks earlier which she had not yet been to trial. Danielle was the most amazing mother. She lived and breathed motherhood. She was so proud of her little girl. Danielle and Bob had been together 8 years when she was called. They met in junior high but didn't know how much they loved each other until a few years later. They moved to northern California in early 2010. A little over a year later, Annabelle was born. the following year, she was taken. Danielle attended First Baptist Church of Mckinleyville every opportunity. often, walking with Annabelle in her arms. She was devoted to being a good christian, wife, mother. she was a beautiful, beautiful person.

She was my step sister. When she was pregnant we would talk and she would tell me how she prayed she was a good mother. She was a fabulous mother, wonderful person inside and out. She acheive being amazing in a very short time.She is missed by many. In our hearts never forgotten. We love you.
